1. Who can use Reclaim
You must be 18 years or older to use Reclaim. By using the app you confirm that you are at least 18. Reclaim is intended for personal, non-commercial use.
2. What Reclaim is — and what it is not
Reclaim is a self-help and educational tool for people working to reduce or stop pornography use. It offers written material, exercises, progress tracking, an AI "coach", and a community forum.
Reclaim is not a medical or healthcare service. Specifically:
- It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition.
- It does not provide medical, psychological, psychiatric, or therapeutic advice, and it is not a substitute for professional care.
- The AI coach is an automated tool, not a therapist, doctor, or counsellor, and its responses may be inaccurate or incomplete. Do not rely on it as professional advice.
- Reclaim is not a crisis or emergency service. If you are in danger, are thinking about harming yourself or others, or are in a mental-health emergency, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line immediately.
Reclaim does not guarantee results. Recovery depends on many things outside the app's control, and outcomes vary from person to person. Reclaim does not promise any particular result — including abstinence, reduced use, relapse prevention, or any emotional or psychological improvement.
You are responsible for your own decisions and wellbeing. If you have a health concern, please consult a qualified professional.
3. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
- Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Tell us promptly (at [email protected]) if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
- You may delete your account at any time from inside the app.
4. Licence to use the app
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Reclaim on devices you own or control, for your own personal use, in line with these Terms and the rules of the app store you downloaded it from.
You may not:
- copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the app;
- reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code, except where the law expressly permits it;
- use the app or its content to train, develop, or improve any artificial-intelligence, machine-learning, or large-language-model system, or scrape, harvest, or extract its content by automated means;
- use the app to break the law or to infringe anyone's rights;
- interfere with or disrupt the app, its security, or its infrastructure, or try to access data that is not yours.
5. Community rules
Reclaim includes a community forum where you post under a nickname. To keep it safe and supportive, you agree not to post content that:
- identifies or exposes another person (yours or theirs — no real names, contact details, or private information);
- is sexually explicit, promotes pornography, or shares links to it;
- harasses, bullies, threatens, or demeans other people;
- is hateful or discriminatory;
- is spam, advertising, or a scam;
- promotes self-harm or dangerous behaviour;
- is illegal or encourages illegal acts.
We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules. You can report content in the app, and we review reports.
6. Your content
- You keep ownership of the content you create (coach messages, reflections, forum posts).
- By posting content, you grant us a licence to host, store, display, and distribute it only as needed to operate the app — for example, showing your forum posts to other users, or sending your coach messages to our AI provider to generate a reply (see our Privacy Policy).
- You are responsible for the content you post and confirm you have the right to post it.
- We may remove content that breaks these Terms or the law.
Copyright complaints
If you believe content on Reclaim infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with:
- your contact details;
- identification of the work you say is infringed;
- the infringing content and where it appears in the app;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent, or the law; and
- a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act on their behalf.
We will review valid notices, remove infringing content, and may terminate accounts of repeat infringers.
7. Subscriptions and payments (not active yet)
Reclaim is currently free to use, and some features or periods may be offered free. This section describes how paid subscriptions would work when introduced:
- Any subscription would be sold and billed through the App Store or Google Play, under that store's payment rules. We would not process or store your payment details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period until cancelled. To avoid being charged for the next period, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends, in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Deleting the app or your Reclaim account does not cancel a subscription. Subscriptions are managed by the App Store or Google Play, so you must cancel there to stop future charges.
- If a subscription is cancelled or lapses, paid features stop at the end of the period you have already paid for, while your account and app data remain available under these Terms.
- We may change subscription prices in the future. Any change would be notified in advance and would apply only from your next renewal — never to a period you have already paid for.
- Refunds are handled by the store under its refund policy, not by us.
- Prices, billing periods, and what a subscription unlocks would be shown in the app before you buy.
Until paid plans launch, no charges apply.
8. Intellectual property
The app itself — its written content, exercises, program structure, design, and software — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by law. These Terms do not give you any rights in it beyond the licence in Section 4.
9. Third-party services
Reclaim relies on third parties, including Apple, Google, our hosting provider, and our AI provider. Your use of the app may also be subject to those parties' terms (for example, the App Store or Google Play terms). We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
10. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Reclaim is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its content or the AI coach's output will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your situation.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of your country of residence.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for outcomes that depend on you and on factors outside our control — including relapse, continued use, or emotional distress connected to your recovery or to tracking it.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD 100.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under applicable law — including your mandatory consumer rights.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Reclaim and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you break these Terms, misuse the app, or where we are required to by law. If your account is terminated, the licence in Section 4 ends.
13. Changes
We may update the app and these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes to the Terms, we will update the "last updated" date and notify you in the app. Continuing to use Reclaim after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your own country of residence. Disputes will be subject to the competent courts, again without depriving you of protections that the law of your residence guarantees you.
15. Apple App Store — additional terms
If you download Reclaim from the Apple App Store, the following also applies:
- These Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app; we are responsible for that.
- To the extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation for the app, and any warranty claims are our responsibility.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app, including product-liability, legal/regulatory, or consumer-protection claims.
- If the app infringes a third party's intellectual-property rights, Apple is not responsible for the investigation, defence, or resolution of that claim.
- You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist-supporting", and you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
